The Brussels IIa Regulation relates to judicial cooperation in matrimonial matters and matters of parental responsibility for all EU member states except Denmark. It addresses the responsible court for spouses dealing with divorce or other matrimonial issues including issues relating to children in cross border situations. The EU Commission has launched a review of the functioning of the Regulation and is seeking contributions to its consultation.
