The Finance Bill 2020 introduced measures to facilitate the development of “eProbate” and enhance the collection and transfer of the data between Revenue and the Probate Office.
In developing an online CA24, Revenue will engage with relevant stakeholders and examine opportunities to reduce duplication and use plainer language and online information supports to reduce the risk of error. An online form would allow for increased analysis of information by Revenue and the potential for pre-population of the CAT return (Form IT38).
Aileen Keogan is involved in this engagement and indeed in making submissions in relation to the wording of the Finance Act to ensure technical issues are covered off.
